  1. 0.3.3

    Presets on the iPad

    New

    • Preset browser. The plugin’s factory presets and your own .aupreset files, with search and filters (factory, saved with KnobShift, folders). Tap to load.
    • Previous/next arrows in the header step through presets.
    • Save sound … saves the current sound as a readable .aupreset file in a KnobShift folder next to the plugin’s other presets.
  2. 0.3.2

A log file for beta testers

    New

    • Log file for bug reports. The KnobShift Companion writes what happens – start, bridge connections, loaded plugins, focus, USB – to a text file in your Downloads folder. “Show log” in the menu opens it.
    • New crash reports from Logic, Ableton Live and the Audio Unit host are added as a short summary, together with the last bridge entries.
  3. 0.3.1

More stable in Logic, your own parameter names

    New

    • Your own parameter names. Rename any parameter in Customize. Names apply per plugin and in every DAW, and travel with exported dashboards.

    Improved

    • Plugin subcategories (such as “FX → Reverb” or “Oscillators → Osc 1”) become one panel with a switcher instead of many separate panels.
    • The bridge window takes the size of the plugin. Resizable plugins scale with it.
    • Section pages scroll instead of stacking panels.

    Fixed

    • Logic no longer crashes when you remove the KnobShift Bridge from a track while its window is open.
    • No more empty area when the selected section doesn’t exist in the next plugin.
  4. 0.3.0

A ready-made Serum 2 dashboard and every parameter

    New

    • Serum 2 “Standard” dashboard with four pages: performance, oscillators, filter and envelopes, play and arp. Reset your own changes to it any time.
    • LFO table. Ten identical LFOs appear as one table (rows = LFOs, columns = controls) instead of ten panels.
    • Waveform display for oscillators. Drag it to change position and level.

    Improved

    • The bridge passes up to 2048 parameters (was 512) and skips placeholder entries that only map a MIDI CC. Serum 2 now shows all 541 real parameters, including every FX slot.
    • Modules with many controls are split into sections (main, unison, warp, playback, pitch) instead of “+N more”.
    • All parameters has filters by section, “Changed”, “Favorites” and “Free slots”, and search understands several words.
    • Dashboards also match by plugin name, so the same dashboard works with the AU in Logic and the VST3 in Ableton Live.
  5. 0.2.1

    Safer dashboard import

    Improved

    • Modules have an on/off switch in their header; off modules are dimmed.
    • Tuning (octave, semitone, fine) is one control. Mod matrix and routing appear as tables, showing only used slots.
    • Dashboard import reads files strictly as data, with size and count limits; invalid files are rejected.
    • Dashboards survive plugin updates: if a parameter ID changes, KnobShift finds it by name; missing parameters keep their place.

    Fixed

    • Logic’s Audio Unit host no longer crashes after you switch plugins in the bridge several times.
  6. 0.2.0

New iPad interface, dashboards and nine languages

    New

    • Fixed sections – oscillators, filter, envelopes, LFOs, modulation, effects, arp, global – instead of one page per plugin group. Modules sit side by side, like Serum’s OSC A, B and C.
    • Performance page with eight large faders: the plugin’s macros if it has them, otherwise its most important parameters.
    • Curves you can drag for envelopes (attack, hold, decay/sustain, release) and filters (cutoff and resonance).
    • Dashboards: your own selection of controls per synth, optionally only for one DAW. Share them via AirDrop, Files or Messages.
    • Customize: choose how each control looks, fill the start page, hide parameters. Saved per plugin.
    • DAW detection: the bridge tells the iPad whether it runs in Logic Pro or Ableton Live.
    • Connection help for USB, Wi-Fi and the demo, with step-by-step troubleshooting.
    • Nine languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Japanese, Korean and Chinese.

    Fixed

    • The Companion and the iPad app no longer crash when an external MIDI 2.0 device sends data.
  7. 0.1.2

    First beta

    New

    • Installer for the Mac with the KnobShift Companion (starts automatically), the KnobShift Bridge plugins (AU and VST3, instrument and effect), the Ableton Live remote script and an uninstall script.
    • Automatic iPad detection: the Companion recognises iPads as soon as they ask over MIDI-CI – over USB, or through a Network MIDI 2.0 session from macOS 26.4. Other MIDI devices are left alone.

    Improved

    • The bridge gets its plugin list directly from macOS instead of test-loading every Audio Unit, and loads plugins in the background.

    Fixed

    • Logic never freezes waiting for the Companion: messages go through a queue on their own thread. Tested with a frozen Companion, Logic’s main thread waited at most 7 ms.
